Mr. Finlay bred a fragrant variety of black camellia from "Mrs. Hams" × ("Salabo" × hybrid "Sweet perfume"), which was announced in 1986. The flower is light pink, gradually turning deep red towards the edge of the petals. The anthers are golden yellow, and the filaments are milky white. It is a medium-sized flower with a diameter of 9-10 cm, and is semi double petaled to peony shaped, with a strong aroma. There are about 30 large petals in a wavy shape, and about 10 small petals mixed with a small amount of golden stamens. The flowers are dense. The leaves are light green, the teeth are pure, and the plant is open.
